TRADITION IN TYPE

OVERVIEW

This letterset explores the harmony between Korean tradition and modern city life. Inspired by Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, the design combines clean, modern letterforms with elements from traditional Korean architecture and patterns. The curved palace roofs, natural flow of the architecture, and repeating straight and curved lines of traditional patterns inspired the shapes and details of the letters. The goal was to reinterpret these traditional elements in a simple and modern way while keeping the warmth, rhythm, and balance of Korean design.
